Felicitous Dawn

Apollo drives his chariot
Across the morning sky.
Brings with him the dawn
And it's dread felicity.

The dawn doth break and takes away
Our love that lasts through night.
It steals the very soul of me
With it's foul warming light.

In fear, regret and longing
We reach, our fingers clasp.
Turn to embrace each other
In this, our lover's grasp.

Begone thou dawn, Apollo fly
So leave us with this endless time.
As Morpheus, he grants our wish
Says, when has true love been a crime?
